What is Aider?
Aider lets you pair program with an LLM in your terminal, either starting a new project or editing an existing codebase. It builds a map of your entire codebase so it works well even on large projects, and it automatically commits changes with suitable commit messages. It can connect to almost any LLM, including Claude, DeepSeek, and OpenAI models, as well as local models. You can request changes by adding comments to code inside your IDE, or use voice, images, and web pages as context.
