What is Kilo Code?
Kilo is an open-source AI coding agent that uses the same agent across the IDE, CLI, and cloud. It offers extensions for VS Code (and Open VSX editors such as Cursor and Windsurf) and JetBrains, a terminal CLI, a browser-based cloud agent, Slack, a mobile app, and a beta desktop app. You can use 500+ models with no markup, or bring your own key (BYOK) or use local models, and Auto Model picks a model to fit your budget and task. It has specialized agents such as Code, Plan, Debug, and Ask, plus code review, and its source is under the MIT license.
