What is Forge Code?
ForgeCode is a service that starts work from bug reports, forum posts, Slack messages, incident alerts, or prompts, and puts tested changes on a board. When called with @ForgeCode in Slack, it opens a mission, splits it into multiple issues, has agents work on them, and returns a PR in the same thread. You can set up automations that react to conditions such as incident alerts, stuck issues, or pending reviews, and if the factory goes down, it resumes from a checkpoint. Separately, Forge in the open repository is a coding agent used in the terminal, which sets up AI provider credentials on first run.
