What is Detectron2?
Detectron2 is an object detection and segmentation library made by Facebook AI Research, the successor to Detectron and maskrcnn-benchmark. It includes features such as panoptic segmentation, DensePose, Cascade R-CNN, rotated bounding boxes, and PointRend, and is used as a library on which research projects are built. Models can be exported in TorchScript and Caffe2 formats for deployment, and trained models can be downloaded from the Model Zoo. It states that it is used in many of Facebook's computer vision research projects and in production services.
