What is Cognee?
Cognee turns documents, code, and conversations into a self-hosted knowledge graph, creating memory that agents can search and reuse. It connects Slack, GitHub, Linear, and more to gather company knowledge into a single "company brain," and also generates ontologies for domain rules. You can use it as a Python library, CLI, MCP server, or HTTP API, or use the managed Cognee Cloud. It states that you can run it locally with a small free model on a CPU, without an API key.
