What is ROCm?
ROCm is AMD's open-source GPU computing platform, made up of compilers, runtimes, and libraries for AI, HPC, and domain-specific workloads. It is optimized for AMD Instinct, Radeon, and Ryzen AI devices. It is built on HIP, a C++ runtime API and kernel language with a CUDA-like interface that lets you write portable GPU code, and it also supports OpenMP and OpenCL. It provides installation guides for AI frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, vLLM, and SGLang, along with field-specific toolkits.
