What is OpenAI Gym?
Gymnasium is an open-source Python library for developing and comparing reinforcement learning algorithms, providing a standard API between learning algorithms and environments, along with a set of standard environments that follow that API. It is a fork of the Gym library, which OpenAI handed over to an external team for maintenance, and future maintenance happens here. It includes environment families such as Classic Control, Box2D, Toy Text, MuJoCo, and Atari, as well as various third-party environments. It also provides a migration guide for moving existing Gym environments.
