What is InterpretML?
InterpretML is an open-source package that brings together state-of-the-art machine learning interpretability techniques. It can train glassbox models that are interpretable by design (such as EBM) and explain existing black-box systems with LIME, SHAP, and others. You can view both the overall behavior of a model (global) and the reasons for individual predictions (local), and it supports what-if analysis and comparing multiple models. It is used for model debugging, detecting fairness issues, and regulatory compliance audits.
