What is DataHub?
DataHub is a data catalog for metadata management, data discovery, and data governance, and also a context platform for AI agents. It supports data lineage tracking, dataset profiling, and data contracts, and manages ownership and PII. It gathers metric definitions, data products, runbooks, and more into a context graph and provides it to agents such as Claude, Cursor, and LangChain through MCP. You can run it yourself as Apache 2.0 open source (DataHub OSS) or use the managed DataHub Cloud.
