What is Smithery?
Smithery is a service that connects AI agents to the outside world, such as web search, database queries, browser control, and business tools, and it uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) internally. You can connect agents to a growing catalog of tools and integrations, and also publish your own MCP server for others to use. It provides managed OAuth without OAuth setup, automatic token refresh, encrypted credential storage, and automatic connection lifecycle management. It has a REST API and the Smithery CLI, and the site has a notice that Smithery has become part of Arcade.dev.
