What is SillyTavern?
SillyTavern is a user interface you install locally to interact with text-generation LLMs, image generation engines, and TTS voice models. It does not do its own inference, so it must be connected to a local or cloud LLM backend such as AI Horde, an OpenAI-compatible API, or KoboldAI. It centers on persistent conversations built around 'character cards,' which are bundles of prompts, and it runs on any device with NodeJS 20 or later. It states that it offers no online or hosted service and is always free and open source.
