What is EU AI Act?
The EU AI Act is the first comprehensive AI regulation created by a major regulator, dividing AI applications by risk level into prohibited, high-risk, and other. This site offers a searchable full text of the law (AI Act Explorer), a 10-minute summary, a guide for small and medium-sized businesses, and a compliance checking tool (Compliance Checker). It is run by the nonprofit Future of Life Institute, which says more than 150,000 people use it each month. It notes that the checker is a simplified version and is still under development.
