What is Devstral 2?
Devstral 2 is Mistral AI's next-generation coding model family, available in two sizes: Devstral 2 (123B parameters) and Devstral Small 2 (24B parameters). Devstral 2 supports a 256K context window and scored 72.2% on SWE-bench Verified; it coordinates changes across multiple files and detects failures and retries. Devstral Small 2 can run locally on consumer hardware and also supports image input. The Mistral Vibe CLI, released alongside, is an open-source terminal coding agent built on Devstral, and Devstral 2 is currently free via the API.
