What is aizen?

Aizen is an agent-centered development workspace for macOS that creates an environment for each project or branch, with its own terminal, files, browser, agents, and state. It runs ACP agents such as Claude, Codex, and Gemini inside the workspace, and lets you add MCP servers from an in-app marketplace. It provides a GPU-accelerated terminal, Git staging, commits, diffs, PR review, and GitHub Actions and GitLab CI status in one place. The code is open under GPL-3.0 and the core features are free.

  • Separate environment per project and branch (Git worktree, etc.)
  • Runs ACP agents (Claude, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini, etc.)
  • In-app MCP server marketplace
  • libghostty-based GPU-accelerated terminal with persistent tmux sessions
  • Git operations, diff, and PR review
  • GitHub Actions and GitLab CI status
  • Built-in file explorer and browser
  • Xcode build integration and companion CLI tool
