Deokpo Beach is in Hadeok village, Deokpo-dong, in Geoje, Gyeongnam. According to the Korea Tourism Organization, the sand is 450 m long and 40 m wide, and it is fine-grained. The water is clean and slopes gently, so many families with young children come here. Old pine trees grow around the beach, and the stands are a pleasant place to listen to the waves in the evening.

The Okpo Victory Memorial Park, which commemorates the Battle of Okpo, is nearby. On the beach there is the Geoje Deokpo Land Sea Line, a zip line that glides over the water. It flies from one end of the beach to the other and back to the start, and the tourism organization calls it the first round-trip ride of its kind in Korea. Transparent canoe rides are also available.

Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries figures show visitors rising from 9,650 in 2015 to 17,733 in 2024, the highest count of the 2015 to 2024 period. In 2019 there were 13,125 visitors, so 2024 was 135% of that year. The lowest count was 7,688 in 2020. In 2018 the beach had 14,925 visitors.

Parking: no free car park nearby

Korea's national parking registry lists no free car park within 2 km of the beach. The five nearest public car parks, 2.61 to 2.72 km away, are all paid. Do not expect to park right by the sand. Allow time for the extra distance.
