What is Steel Browser?
Steel is an open-source browser API for AI agents, offering managed cloud browsers with stealth, residential proxies, CAPTCHA solving, persistent profiles, and session replay. Browser sessions start in under a second, and existing Puppeteer scripts can be connected as they are. Sessions can be resumed with cookies, tabs, and state kept intact, and a person can step in for 2FA or payment steps and then hand control back to the agent. Steel Browser is published on GitHub, so you can self-host it yourself.
