Jukdo Beach is in Ingu-ri, Hyeonnam-myeon, Yangyang County, Gangwon Province, between Ingu Beach and Dongsanpo Beach. It takes its name from Jukdo, a small island thick with bamboo that is joined to the shore. The Korea Tourism Organization describes a long strip of sand, about 2 km, backed by dense pine forest, although the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries registry lists the sand as 500 m long and 50 m wide, so the sources do not agree. The water is shallow and the slope is gentle, which suits families with children. Several surf shops nearby offer lessons and board rental.

Visitors in 2024: 22% of the 2019 level

Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries figures show 24,240 visitors in 2015, 25,232 in 2016, 13,740 in 2017 and 20,641 in 2018. The count peaked at 52,020 in 2019, the highest from 2015 to 2024. It was 19,560 in 2020, 16,513 in 2021, 20,822 in 2022 and 23,481 in 2023, then fell to 11,362 in 2024, the lowest in that period. That is 22% of the 2019 level. This is a much quieter beach than the famous big ones, which suits anyone who wants to surf or stroll without a crowd.
